The African Plant Genomics Symposium Organizing Committee aims to provide an inclusive and safe Symposium for all the participants. All participants are expected to adhere to the Symposium’s Code of Conduct as follows:
- Policies and guidelines established by the Organizing Committee must be respected, including but not limited to the programme, session guidelines, and any further directives.
- All interactions with fellow participants must be conducted respectfully.
- All participants must be treated with respect, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion, or any other characteristic.
- All participants must use respectful and inclusive language, and avoid any form of offensive or discriminatory remarks or jokes.
- All participants must refrain from harassment in any form, including but not limited to verbal, written, visual, or physical.
Participation in the Symposium is governed by this Code of Conduct as well as applicable legislation in Kenya.
Reporting and accountability:
If you experience or witness any violation of this code of conduct, report it to the organizing committee or email info@plantgenomicsafrica.org. All complaints will be treated confidentially, and reviewed and responded to promptly.
Participants violating this code of conduct may be asked to leave the event without a refund at the sole discretion of the organizing committee.
